Acta S.p.A., (AIM:ACTA) a developer of environmental, low-cost catalysts, has appointed Abchurch Communications to unveil its capabilities in the UK and mainland Europe via a campaign focussing primarily on trade and industry audiences.
Based near Pisa, Italy, Acta has developed a range of catalyst technologies that can help the clean energy industry overcome the barriers to the use of hydrogen as an energy source. Key barriers to the adoption of fuel cells, which consume hydrogen, have been the high cost and the short supply of the catalyst component within the cell, and the lack of a developed hydrogen infrastructure. Acta has developed technologies that generate hydrogen from commonly available chemical by-products such as ammonia and glycol, and even from water itself. It has recently launched a compact hydrogen generator that can produce hydrogen within homes and businesses
Leading the Abchurch account will be Justin Heath (Managing Director), who heads up the clean technology team, supported by Monique Tsang (Account Manager) and Hannah Sharman (Account Executive).
