Abchurch colocating Emerald with the media
Abchurch has won the ongoing corporate PR brief for Emerald Networks, a subsea cable system owner/operator that provides low latency transatlantic capacity to the wholesale market.
Emerald Network’s cable system will link the financial centres of New York and London and with a high speed fibre system which can support current, and more importantly future networking demands. This will be the fastest network across the Atlantic, enabling lower latency times for European and North American businesses that currently suffer from insufficient bandwidth capabilities. Emerald Networks will operate through a networking triangle; linking Shirley, New York (Long Island) and Belmullet on the West Coast of Ireland, with a branching unit into Grindavik, Iceland.
It will disrupt the aging transatlantic fibre systems market and bring a new super information highway across the Atlantic with a transmission rate of 100 Gbps per fibre pair.
Henry Harrison-Topham Managing Director Abchurch, commented: “We are very pleased to have been given the corporate PR brief to work alongside Emerald Networks. Latency issues are becoming more important in today’s world, and with the proliferation of wireless devices and demand for cloud computing, a significant amount of strain is being placed on the network. Emerald has developed an exciting technology to improve latency speeds and enable cloud computing, which will not only benefit high-frequency traders and big businesses, but everyone who uses and relies on a wireless device throughout their day-to-day activity. We look forward to working with Ray Sembler and his team in the future.”
Leading the Abchurch account is Henry Harrison-Topham supported by Joanne Shears (Director), Quincy Allan (Account Manager) and Marcus Byers (Account Assistant).
