Project for Pioneer Corporation

Abchurch worked as part of an international corporate communications team in February 2009 to announce in the UK the restructuring of Japanese electronics group Pioneer Corporation. Headquartered in Tokyo, Pioneer announced globally, a plan to restore profitability. The Group has shifted its focus away from the production of flat screen televisions to concentrate solely on developing its large automotive electronics business, which makes satellite navigation systems and other devices, and its audio business, where it has a strong reputation, with niches such as making turntables for disc jockeys.
Working alongside its IPREX partner in Belgium which acts for Pioneer Europe, Abchurch undertook the brief to compile targeted media lists for the UK national business and broadcast press as well as working with other IPREX partners as part of a globally coordinated effort to reach the key media in each of Pioneer’s markets, specifically Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
