QMB Innovation Centre appoints Abchurch for Corporate PR

QMB Innovation Centre

9 May 2011

Queen Mary Bio Enterprises (QMB) Innovation Centre, London’s largest purpose-built laboratory space, has appointed Abchurch to provide corporate PR support as it looks to heighten engagement with prospective tenants and biotechnology figureheads.

Located within minutes of the City of London and close to the research campus of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, the QMB Innovation Centre is the culmination of a four-year capital investment partnership between Queen Mary, University of London and the London Development Agency.

Opened in 2010, the QMB Innovation Centre offers 39,000 sq ft of modern, customisable laboratory and office space for life science, chemistry and technology companies looking to start-up and expand, or later stage companies seeking a longer-term base for their laboratory and commercial work.

Adam Michael, Director of Life Sciences at Abchurch, commented: “London is a focal point for the European life science industry. QMB Innovation Centre provides an incubation hub for entrepreneurial life science companies seeking research excellence and capital investment.  The early signs are very exciting as life science financiers in the City are already expressing an interest in visiting.”

With SMEs expected to lead the UK’s emergence from the recession we are delighted to be working alongside QMB to demonstrate it provides a strong base and environment for these entrepreneurial businesses.”

Leading the Abchurch account is Director, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Adam Michael, supported by Account Manager Simone Elviss and Account Executive Oliver Hibberd.
