Our client experience includes working for ATH Resources plc, Pan Pacific Aggregates plc, Aricom plc, Powerfuel plc and Pioneer Goldfields. Of particular note was Abchurch’s strategic advisory role for Aricom plc, a London based iron ore mining company with operations in the Far East of Russia. Founded as a spin out from Peter Hambro Mining plc in 2003, when it listed on AIM, Abchurch was instrumental in its |
subsequent move to become a member of the FTSE 250 and was the first Eastern Russian iron ore mining company to have a market capitalisation of over US$1 billion. Following this rise in fortune, Aricom was reacquired by Peter Hambro in April 2009 and the larger group renamed Petropavlovsk plc. Abchurch was heavily involved in the successful merger between the two companies both in the preparatory stage drafting key management aid documents and regulatory announcements but also maintaining positive coverage in the national UK business press, broadcast and Russian media relating to the deal. |
